“LET FOOD BE YOUR MEDICINE AND YOUR
MEDICINE BE YOUR FOOD”
-HIPPOCRATES
Hippocrates, born in Greece around 460 BC, is known as the founding father of Western Medicine.
Hippocrates is regarded as the most influential physician of all time.
His contributions have proven invaluable to the medical community, and his discoveries will eternally remain as the foundation of all scientifically-sound methods of healing.
THE HIPPOCRATIC OATH
Part of Hippocrates’ lifework was that he established a set of principles which would govern the practice of medicine and serve as a guide to all of those who engaged in the art of healing.
This set of principles is formally known as the “Hippocratic Oath.” To this day, medical doctors are required to swear allegiance to the Hippocratic Oath before they are permitted to practice medicine.
If the founder of Western Medicine considered food to be the very backbone of medicine, why do doctors receive little to no nutritional training in medical school? Why don’t doctors prescribe clinical nutrition or educate their patients on the healing power of foods? Why is a doctor’s toolbox limited to drugs and surgeries?
These questions can be answered by following the money. Powerful pharmaceutical and medical technology companies heavily influence the curriculum taught in medical schools by financing medical research, funding medical schools and hospitals, and advertising in medical journals. With deep pockets, they entice scientists and legislators to support their efforts. Such funding has completely changed the practice of medicine, and the public is mostly unaware of these interlocking interests.

ALL CHRONIC DISEASE IS DIET RELATED
Food has the power to either harm or heal the body. When given the proper nutrition, the human body has the amazing ability to heal itself! Most of us know proper nutrition is essential, but just how much do we appreciate the medicinal value of foods and culinary herbs and spices?
If doctors are not trained to provide sound nutritional advice, where does that leave the average person? Presumably, most people are completely unaware of the medicinal properties of food.
WHERE DOCTORS FAIL
A doctor’s nutritional training is limited to the most elementary concepts:
- The diabetic should refrain from eating sugar
- The hypertensive should refrain from eating salt
- The cardiac patient should refrain from eating cholesterol
Where is the instruction on how use food to treat and reverse disease? Not to mention, eating a low sugar, low sodium, low cholesterol diet for the rest of your life sounds pretty miserable… does it not?
What if I told you – You can eat appetizing foods and not have to suffer for it!?
YOU ARE UNIQUE
People commonly believe what works for them, will work for their friends and family; but this could not be further from the truth.
Healthy eating is unique to each individual. There is no “one-size-fits-all” when it comes to nutrition. What may be healthy nutritionally for one person may not be healthy for the next.
WHERE DIETITIANS FAIL
The proposal of a universal diet is a mistake commonly made by dietitians, and it is the precise reason why so many people fail to see improvements; or at best, achieve only meager results when working with a dietitian.
CORPORATE CORRUPTION
Just like the practice of medicine has been corrupted by Big Pharma, nutritional counseling has become heavily influenced by Big Agri. Dietary education and dietary conventions approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) – are sponsored and staffed by corporate junk food giants.
You must be wary of the government’s nutritional guidelines when there is a financial tie between researchers and food companies. You cannot expect dietitians to make reliable recommendations when their advisory board has its hands in the pockets of the corporations that the board is obligated to scrutinize.
CALORIES ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL
Dietitians and doctors base their dietary recommendations on the oversimplified and outdated theory that suggests all you need to do to lose weight and prevent disease is to burn more calories than you eat.
Under these indiscriminate dietary guidelines, people find themselves micromanaging calories – without consideration of where they come from, and chasing after an all too elusive calorie deficit. This way of “dieting” is unsustainable, unsatisfying, and most importantly– unhealthy!
The reality is, calories mean nothing when the foods you are eating are chock full of toxic chemicals, cause massive inflammation, and are void of micronutrients.
FOOD IS NOT YOUR ENEMY
There are 65 trace minerals, 13 vitamins, and 20 amino acids that the human body requires to function properly and prevent disease, and today’s modern diet is severely deficient in all of them.
Vitamin, mineral, and amino acid deficiencies are an overlooked cause of many different chronic health conditions.
If you want to improve your health and lose weight, you should focus your attention on the quality of your food– rather than a food’s caloric content.
You can count calories to your heart’s content, but you will fail to lose weight and recover your health until you begin eating wholesome, nutrient-dense foods that are suited for you as an individual.
CUSTOMIZATION IS KEY
WHAT SEPARATES JEFF FROM OTHER PROCLAIMED “EXPERTS” IS THAT HE ASSESSES YOU AS AN INDIVIDUAL BY EXPLORING THE GENETIC CHARACTERISTICS THAT DEFINE “YOU” AS A UNIQUE PERSON. YOUR UNIQUE BIOLOGY HOLDS THE KEY TO RESTORING YOUR HEALTH AND UNLOCKING YOUR TRUE POTENTIAL!
